The Elder Scrolls: Tales of the Nerevarine

Nakuma stopped and looked around for a moment before staring down at her legs and shaking. "M-m-m-muh...my STRIPES!"

Dalamus turned to look at Nakuma and immediately fell to the ground laughing.

Nakuma spun around and screamed at Dalamus. "Shut up, n'wah! This isn't funny!" she sat down and looked over her body, frowning at the color with a quivering lip. "I look like a cheap whore."

"On the contrary, it's very funny." Dalamus said as he stood back up. "And look at the bright side. At least you'll be able to make a few extra septims on the side."

The zebra looked up to Dalamus and tried to scowl, but kept frowning. "Go throw yourself off a cliff," she mumbled and stood up.

"Aw, don't be so sad Greeny." He said before knocking on the shack's door. "Maybe the mad god will throw you a bone and change you back. Though I think that would be a step down for you."

"Who's there?" cam a yell from the other side of the door. "You better go away you damn crustacean. I told you, I don't got no tree-fiddy for you!"

"Tree-fiddy?" Dalamus said with a confused look on his face.

The sound of several locks being opened came from the door, then it swung open, revealing a rather rotund redguard stallion. "You aren't no monstah. What do you want?" he asked, point a spoon at the group threateningly.

"Unless that's a cursed spoon, I'd suggest you put that down." He told the redguard.

"Cursed? How dare you! This is a gift from my lord!" he shouted, and with a flick of the spoon, Dalamus' mane turned bright neon pink.

Nakuma burst out in laughter for a moment before clasping her hooves over her mouth.

Dalamus quickly turned to Nakuma. "What's so fu-" Dalamus froze at the sight of a bit of neon pink mane in font of his face. His eye twitched as he looked at it.

"You should put it up, it would really accent your eyes," she joked and tried to hold in her laughter.

"Shut up, Zebra! This isn't funny!" Dalamus said before turning to the redguard. "Redguard, change it back!"

Chrystyna interrupted, "Pardon sir, but we were sent by your, uh, lord to help you 'teach a lesson' to the people of your village."

"I will not change it back, ya damn monstah," the redguard said to Dalamus.

"What's that little missy? Well ain't you just the best little honkey. I knew my prayers would be answered. Come in, come in," he said to Chrystyna, beckoning the group to enter his home.

Ari just shrugged. Maybe he will magic me an ever-filling tankard of Ale...one can hope!

Nakuma trotted inside and looked around. [Per 10]

Chrystyna bows politely and enters.

Dalamus followed the other inside.

Nakuma sees a rather cozy cabin, despite the ragged appearance of the stallion living there. The furniture was neat and organized, save for a single shelf in the corner of the shack, were lay a random assortment of what appeared to be junk, and a bust of Sheogorath's head with an expression or uncontrollable rage.

"Please, sit. Sit. I'll go fetch us some ale," the redguard says, moving to a small kitchen and never taking his eyes off of Dalamus as though he thought the dunmer was a monster.

"Stop looking at me like that."

Ari grinned, "Ale sounds just fine!"

The old hermit came back into the main room, carrying a tray of mugs on his back, he carefully set a mug of ale in front of each of his guests, serving Dalamus last.

"Here you folks go," he said, sitting down where he could keep an eye on the dunmer. "Now what brings a bunch of honkeys like you up here?"

Aldarilar took mug and studied it's contains. "Well...how do I put it..one important and..hmm..interesting pony asked us to help..hmm..his old friend, who was once respectable among his fellows in his village, but recently was shunned from there." He looked at old hermit.

Ari looked at the mug like it was gold rapped in the best kind of chocolate ever.....she drank heartily. I missed this stuff!

Dalamus drank from the mug and put it down.
"Stop looking at me." He once again told the old Redguard.

Chrystyna took measured sips while she listened patiently to the conversation.

"Aw you crackers say the wildest things. I don't have many friends out here now. Let alone ones that would send a buncha youngings like you to help me. Who did send you out here anyways?" the old hermit asked in his strange accent.

"Love cheese, wears..well.kinda weird suit and goes by name Sheogorath. Ring any bells?" Aldarilar was still looking at contains of the mug, while saying that.

The Nord looked a bit bemused, "The individual who gave us this quest....how to put it....a god quite fond of cheeses!"

"Sheo...Sheogorath? He sent you?" the elder stallion stammered. In a rabid movement he threw up his hooves into the air shouting at the top of his lungs. "Praise be! I can't believe my prayers have been answered!"

Ari wondered how all this would end, "And what answer would that be??" She hoped the answer wouldn't hurt too much.

"You all must slay the monstah that has been plaguing my beloved town. But first, you need to draw it out into the open."

"What sort of monster?"

"Why does everything we do involves fighting..." Aldarilar sighed and looked at old hermit.

"What would attract such a beast then?" She prayed that it wouldn't involve cheese but if ale was needed that would be just as horrid a crime.

"The Giant Bull Netch of Sheograd! The only way to summon it is through a special ceremony passed down through generations!"

"A bull netch? You can't be serious." Dalamus said to the hermit.

"You meant those..floating things? I never encontered them." He turned to Dalamus. "Are they dangerous or something?"

Ari pondered for a moment....why do I have a feeling....

"It depends how big they are and how many are around." Dalamus told Aldarilar. "Though anything with giant in front of it usually isn't a good thing."

"More likely...I've heard there's giant's in Skyrim..I wonder if there are giant giant." Aldarilar took few sips from his mug. "And what's the ritual or whatever?" He asked hermit.

The Nord looked somewhat leery about the mention of rituals, "In my homeland sometimes these types of things can get messy."

"Now hold on there crackers. I need to get the sacred tome out," the mad stallion said, reaching over to a bookshelf. "Now here we are. The champion, or champions in this case, must take the sacred relic to the offending town, and use it upon their finest foods. Then, after the little dog barks, and the dishes run away, only then will the sacred beast of Sheogorath appear, and all shall be laid low!" he shouted with enthusiasm.

"One problem though...we need the Fork of Horripilation."

"I'm guessing that's the fork the Breton has?" Dalamus said as he pointed to Chrystyna.

"The fork has a name?" Nakuma asked with a snicker.

Chrystyna takes out the fork, "If you mean this thing you can have it. It's making me feel awful."

"Take it? Oh nononono. That is yours to bear. It appears that our Lord has chosen you for his divine workings. Just make sure to not fall to a succubus before doing his deeds."
